So you’re looking for a product or service… what’s your first move?

Do you Google it?

Do you search online?


But is Your Business Online?

You scroll down the list of search results, read the little blurb, see what takes your fancy or seems to be the solution to what you are looking for. You click through on a couple of the sites listed and see what fits. These businesses are looking for you, they are ready to solve your frustration, pain, need or problem.

Unfortunately if your business is either not online at all, or potential customers cannot find any information about you, chances are they won’t even consider using you or buying your products or services.

‘According to the 2018 Telstra Small Business Intelligence Report, 62 percent of customers will stop considering a business if they can’t find information about it online, but only 50 percent of small businesses have web sites.’ Thanks BIT

That means around 50% of small business do not have an online presence. That’s 50% of businesses missing out on being there when customers are searching, missing out on solving a potential customers frustration, pain, need or problem.

Basically it’s missing out on business!

Small business needs as much exposure as it can to ensure a sustainable, profitable and economical existence. Small business needs to be seen, found, sourced and located.

Now this doesn’t have to be an exorbitant expense, it doesn’t even have to be complicated, it just needs to happen! A basic website, with great images and eye-catching, informative, call to action content, is baseline. If your business sells a product or service then you should be selling it online. Get it out there, show people what you have, make a difference in their lives, solve that problem, be of service.

If you have information people need to know about then tell it, blog about it, advertise it, let everyone know.

I talk often about how a website is simply an extension of a ‘bricks and mortar’ shop front because I am so passionate about small business success. It’s another avenue of promotion, of welcoming customers into your world and your business.
